Babar and Rizwan missed out , Pakistan's full T20I and ODI squad for New Zealand tour 2025


The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squads for the upcoming tour of New Zealand, which has five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled from March 16 to April 5, 2025. 

T20I Squad:

Notably, Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as the T20I captain, with Shadab Khan serving as his deputy.

 Mohammad Rizwan continues as the ODI captain, with Salman Ali Agha as vice-captain. Senior players, including Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, have been rested for the T20I series to provide opportunities to emerging talents. 


This strategic move aims to build a robust squad ahead of major upcoming tournaments, such as the ACC Men's T20 Asia Cup 2025 and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. 

The tour serves as a crucial platform for these players to showcase their skills and solidify their positions in the national team.
